This mix has been a long time coming. Quick and thrashy, mixing some laidback tempos with awkward interludes onto cassette tape wooliness. First person to send me an e-mail ( to marcotuliothrash at gmail dot com) with their mailing address will get the original master tape sent to them via good old USPS.
Here's the tracklist:
Ariel Pink - intro/where does the mind go
Drenched in blonde tape hiss. This sets the sound quality and perverse zaniness for the rest of the mix. It's all for "YOU", the listener ... and "YOU" too, the innocent bystander.
Com Truise - Sundriped
Reclined synth-noodling and sophisticate tropical washes underlined by a erotically sidechained kick drum.
BMX - Cavern of the DX7's
Fellow Cybernetic Robot, overlays some heroic FM melodies with hard-rocking drum sequencing.
Ritualz - Bodie
I am no fan of Witch House (the genre formerly known as "Rape Gaze") and neither are you but the moronic drums provide a simple counterpoint to the previous track. On top of that Bodie from The Wire goes on at length about his work ethic under some shoegazing noise.
Ali Renault - Dockland Dirt
This brings the funk back after the ketamine interlude. The satisfying wobble on the bassline keeps you throbbing.
CRT Corporation - Au-To-Mation
A mysterious track for you and me. While not moronic it is distinctly metronomic. The technocratic incantations are timeless.
Ampilla's Delight - Lover's Walkman
This one leads you into a false sense of prime-time, with it's irresistible beat, muted guitar accents and teutonic feline singing.
Carmine - Je ne veux pas vivre comme ça
Actually if you understood the pitched vocals to this track, they could possibly wipe you off the face of the earth. Hence this one is an anthem for me.
Bagarre - Lemonsweet

Ariel Pink - Beverly Kills
The track that made me fall in love with this musician's melodies. Here you find it in its earliest incarnation full of tape hiss.
The Conet Project - Counting Station Spanish
... And we conclude with a bunch of spanish numbers from some mysterious radio-tower. Cold-war intrigue, hermetic drug dealers, delusional dictatorship ... who knows? who cares? aren't they all the same?
